"The work combines two different strategies of appropriation and transformation of reality: with her Installation Helene Hellmich modifies the tangible space, adapting it to the needs of her artwork. The art world can be experienced as something real. The Maps of Thoughts in contrast are drawings that depict a world of thought and abstract thought processes. They constitute references between various drawings, signs and words and put them into an order. They are also archives that trace the volatile, ephemere and impalpable and thus render this incomprehensible cosmos consistent, assessable and above all observable.
Installation and drawing meet and determine each other. The space becomes the key and opens the mental space to the visitor."
